My dad had a bet with my brother in law that he could grow the tallest sunflower - and he did!

Glad he won. Good job I'm not a betting person. If you look along the gardens in our road you can see a number of very tall sunflowers, bigger than your Dad's like 12-15 ft, but then we are nearer to Russia aren't we. That might explain it.
