I have no idea, we only put them there about a month ago, and they have not grown very big...they did not get enough light, feed under the big tomatoes, cucumbers and chillies.
Nor have they kept the white fly away. But next year I am planning to try it out (my husband, that's Philip, or Pip for the grandchildren, doesn't believe in it.
I'll keep you informed... ;-)

Ok Hilda. I will let you know as well as I am planting marigolds around all my veggies next spring.

Hi Alexandramou (from Corfu, Greece ;-),
Success and thank you!

I always grow Tagetes/marigolds around my tomatoes, peppers, cukes, etc, and it always works for me. These flowers also deter blackfly from broad beans. Really like these peppers, Hilda. Are these ones chilli or sweet pepper?

They are sweet peppers, called Lipstick. I like these most of all. Also their form. Alas we haven't had a lot this year, just a few. Now, at last, they are starting to turn red. Last year we had much more, and earlier.

Oh, Thank You, Hilda. "Lipstick" name has been given to both chillis and sweet peppers, you see. I shall look out for seeds to grow next year. I also like their shape, I love roasted sweet pepper with melted feta cheese, rice and herbs. :-))

I see you have a little marigold near your veggies. Do they really keep the bugs away? I've saved some seeds and plan to space them between my veggies next summer.
