Lovely plant. I have grown some Verbascum from seed this year. Will I have to wait till next year to flower?

This plants seeds itself in my garden. It has a big footprint so ,unfortunately, I can keep only one. They go well for a year or two then start to fail, so the self seed one comes in handy.
