strawberry beds

Last spring i put up some lawn edging and put weed paper underneath then put promix soil and strawberry plants. Hoping this year we will have some strawberries. Thought it would be less expensive that way, we'll see.

We had no success this year at all, and I'm trying to find out whether it was weather (UK) or my cackhandedness...
