It just looks pretty for me, although is a weed :o)
I wish I could have a house at the beach with a garden covered with those :o)

I have it in a pot. It's not a weed here. It would get killed in the winter.

wow... are you sure is the same plant... (of course you are...!!! you're the expertise :o)
You wouldn't believe the way they grow at the beach here.... they cover everything

I'm no expert.. lol... It just reminds me of it because I have one :o)

Aleyna:

Ice plant is a weed here also...it grow everywhere...because it's so, so drought

It's in the Aizoaceae family. : > )

Aleyna:

I try. LOL! I know most of the Ice plant-type plants...because most are so widely grown throughout California. : > )

Delonix,
These ice plants seems to like ocean shores.

Aleyna:

Most species are native to areas not too far the ocean...in drier climates of the World.

I brought some and planted in a pot... let's see how it will feel living 100km far from ocean shore and in the 9th floor...

i couldnt i'd winge about the heat more than i winge about the cold...lol

Sandra is right, it grows wild on cliffs in the southwest of Cornwall. It looks great. I have tried growing it in London but the first frost kills it.

LOL Sandra... south Brazil is not that bad... we even have 2 inches of snow in winter, when we get lucky.... :o)))))

Rbtkew... I'll probably have the opposite problem...brouht some to try grow it myself... in a pot... afraid the summer will kill it...we will see :o)

it should be fine Alyena it loves it dry and hot...u surprise me that u get snow... we are on the south west of the UK in Wales. we have a small amout of snow now and then.

Sandra:

I don't think Aleyna's city in Brazil receives snow...I believe she said it's in the higher mountains. Here in the San Diego County Mountains...it snows above 4,500 feet a couple times a year in winter also.

With the many tropical plants and trees growing in Aleyna's city...they would all die if it snowed or had frost.

Sandra and Delonix,
I wrote a blog with our snow... :o)
LOL!!!
