My Mother is Revolting!

My mother is revolting – she moans all the time about the state of my room and the fact that we don’t do anything to help in the house. Why would we? Does it matter if we leave clothes all over the floor, when we need something we can just get something clean out. I’ve never run out of clothes yet. And then she goes on and on about towels left in heaps; they do get a bit stinky after a week or so but there are loads more in the airing cupboard. I’ll admit that leaving a used condom in the bedside table was a bit gross but she shouldn’t be in my room anyway.
If she loves the garden as much as she says, why can’t she just get out there? She has this mad idea that we might get interested in stuff outside if she witters on enough, but honestly, why bother with growing stuff when you can get it from Sainsbury’s? I go with my mates after rowing and there are great offers on cakes and stuff that is out of date. It keeps you full so who cares about all the healthy eating garbage that my eco-warrior mother spouts at us. And thyat is another thing, if she is so eco-friendly how come we can spend money on plants but not on video games? We only watch TV when we are not at school – she doesn’t understand how tired you get fighting with teachers.
Last week was the barmiest yet – she bought garlic and buried it; why not just eat it now, there’s tons in the shops and it doesn’t cost much. And if she thinks I’m going to dig up potatoes she’s got another think coming!

This is for real - I am that mother! Actually he is a fabulous son - read my blog - he was the one who bought me lemon trees for mothers day, but he is a bit of a teenager (that is a euphemism!)

sounds just like our house on some days!
Pls give him all best wishes, tell him it'll make sense one day, and when he gets past 35 at the latest, gardening just might seem like a great thing to do, you never know!
In the meantime, he's very welcome to Sainsbury's cakes.
Yes, you can get some bargains when they are out of date. I wish him joy of them. : ))
Hm, now i wonder why he/they never run out of clean clothes? Perhaps the bakery staff @ Sainsbury's are even more amazing than we thought.

I have an 11yr old grandaughter who although has not yet reached the cheeky comment stage, the rest does fit.(obviously not the condom bit) Bless them all where would we be without them ,saying that one has to admit their knowledge of modern gadgetry is amazing and a great help sometimes.........

oh yes .... teenage boy alert - I've got two and I can definately relate to this! I cant even see my oldests carpet and when you start seeing his girlfriends clothes on the floor too .... well i've gone on strike and keep shutting the door moaning about it being a fire risk but no hints are big enough!!! so now i keep putting bin bags in the room...

you have a KEVIN in your house, he probably isnt much differant to most teens, but i have two lads and they have always had to do their share about the house, my yougest is still home at almost 17 and has been keeping his room since he was about 10,, its never a mess because he knows he is in charge of that space, if he doesnt put washing away or in wash basket then it doesnt get done, simple,, there has to be rules and sets them in good sted for when they leave home,he also has to do at least 3 jobs in the house each week to help me, makes them appresiate things more, sorry to go on but kids today doh!

Drat - now I am a bad mother! LOL
I reason that I am teaching them to appreciate a comfortable home in hope that he will want one of his own, then when I need to I can go live with him.
I have it all planned: I will abandon my shoes in the doorway, throw down my bag in the hall and raid the fridge leaving butter and crumbs all over .....
Oh, the fun I will have!
