My Abutilon hybrid 'Pink' in the front yard (Abutilon hybrid 'Pink')

This shrub has been blooming since early December...I thought I get a photo before it stops blooming. Photo taken April 9, 2011. P

Thanks! I've been very dissatisfied with this plant...it's only 6ft/2m tall in 6 years. When I lived in the San Francisco Bay Area, I used to get my Abutilon cuttings to 6ft/2m in 3 or 5 months.

Its quality not quanty that counts Andy and I think its gorgeous, must of liked the soil in San Francisco.

Yes, the soil, cooler night temps and more rain was better for Abutilon.

Do you have an Abutilon? Most Abutilons hybrids will tolerate temps down to 28ºF/-2ºC with little damage.

This hybrid Abutilon is a shrub, although, some are viny shrubs.

Yes I do have one Andy and was thinking of getting another with a peach flower different flower to the one I have though, the one I have got at present is small flowering red, yellow and black .

You must have the hardy ones. Most of the species which are grown here are native to the Brazilian rainforest. They're mostly Abutilon pictum hybrids...like the one posted above.

Yes I have the hardy one but the one I want to get is like yours but peach colour
