Acalypha wilkinsiana ‘Ceylon’

Acalypha wilkinsiana ‘Ceylon’ (Acalypha wilkinsiana ‘Ceylon’)

My Ceylon Acalypha is growing very well since it was planted in this spot on Christmas Day last year. Everyone who walks by wants this plant or wants to know its name. I cut the top to propagate it last week. Photo taken November 14, 2023.

Interesting leaf edges. I do like plants that have some pink in the leaves, in my case mostly in houseplants.

Most Acalypha varieties have lots of colors. This one has only been in the ground since Christmas Day. It should look a lot fuller by next year. Acalypha is a tropical plant.
