Acca sellowiana - Fejao, Pineapple Guava

The Pineapple Guava is very widely grown in most of California. It tough and sturdy and blooms in early spring and fall. The trees produce lots of fruit here. Photo taken at Quail Botanical Gardens, Encinitas, CA. on Sept. 4, 2012.

It's a pretty hardy tree or large shrub. However, it blooms in late winter or early spring and again in late summer or fall. It may be borderline for setting fruit, there (I'm just guessing).

Milky is growing one DD and I'm pretty sure that it's outdoors.

I think Milky's plant is in a pot. Although, you would have to ask her to confirm this.
