Pineapple Guava is very commonly grown in most of California. It produces very sweet, pineapple-tasting fruit. Posted for my friend Milky...not sure if this tree fruits in the UK. Photo taken at Quail Botanical Gardens (or San Diego Botanical Gardens), Encinitas, CA. on August 6, 2013.

Meanie:
There's a drawback to growing this tree/shrub. The fruit blends in with the foliage. I could barely tell this tree had hundreds of fruit.
