Thank you all.I always thought the Adenium would be no good growing in our wet season with its high humidity so never got one . Then a local lady said she was growing them from seed and cuttings and had heaps of the , She sells them . She told me our climate was perfect for the desert rose as long as 2 things were adhered to. Firstly they must be planted [ best in pots]in a mix that has a lot of course sand, quick drainage is vital. Next keep the poys in full sun. in winter water once a week .and in the summer the rain will take care of watering .The only trouble I've had is downy aphids and that is fixed very quickly with a spray all over and under leaves with white oil.Sorry I can go on when I get wound up.

Does she have any cuttings that she still wants to sell - I know someone close by who wouldn't mind a cutting of this beauty! Now I wonder who that might be!

unfortunatly the lady who was breeding them has terminal cancer and cannot continue , Its a tragedy she has the most wonderful garden , she also has Plumeria and ornamental gingersv. i have got a lot of plants from her but now she is having kemo and is not too well.
