Aechmea blanchetiana..no common name as far as I know. This one tends to be more tropical than most other bromeliads grown in California- especially the SF bay area. I would have to move it if we have a frost.

Thank you Kate.
I'm scaling back on plants these days. Drought and the cost of water. My photo posts might stretch out between times. I don't know for sure. But for sure updates to old plants instead of "Something new". Or, local plants in others yards or parks.

I completely understand where you’re coming from there, Stan. I’ve quite a small garden, sometimes, I post pics of my patients gardens - with their consent (they are quite pleased). Klahanie mentioned takin pics of our plants etc from different angles and perspectives…good idea!
I appreciate the reasoning, especially with drought and water costs - even when we have water buts!

That's a cracking colour Stan. I also understand where you're coming from. Our 'new' garden is much smaller than our old one and I've scaled back pot grown plants. Too much watering and no water tubs here unfortunately.

That’s a gorgeous colour, or colouring I should say, Stan. Fingers crossed you don’t have a frost.
