My neighbor's Agave is putting out a tall flower spike. This Agave grows wild on the sides of the mesas and canyons here in San Diego, CA. Photo taken Feb. 15, 2016.

I'm guessing around 30' (9 m) tall. They can grow taller.

that plant must be enormous!!! I am going to plant my biggest one outside this year....I know of a few that survive outside and mine is just too big now so I am going to risk it!!

They grow pretty big before they bloom.
I would take the change because they typically don't bloom in pots. They can take a lot of space. Here's the size of one before it starting blooming:

It's bloomed and the original plant has died; however, they produce so many plantlets you'll always have hundreds.

I got the boys to move the biggest one outside today while it is fairly dry and just about movable....I have covered it with a sheet tonight... I know it's risking it but the plant is in drought now with very little juice in their leaves I think it will be fine!!!!!

They're a really tough, hardy plants and when they receive water the leaves plump up again.
