Mushybanna:

Thanks! Yes, this was quite unusual for an Aloe.

Yes, I'm using my new camera any time I get the chance...as you can tell by all the new photos...and since the weather has been so warm, it's such perfect timing. lol! : > )

My camera seams to only take white photo's for some reason !!! :o)))

Mushybanna:

I hope it will change soon. : > )

Our local news has been showing all the snow in England on the T.V....it's quite amazing! The arctic blast seems to be dominating the news on T.V. the last week or so...for most the U.S. and Europe. The big arctic blast has even affected the weather as far south as tropical Havana, Cuba...so incredible!!!

Wow that is unusual

Mushybanna:

Yes, it is. It was another 75 degree F. / 24 degree C. today...and it's suppose to get warmer tomorrow through this weekend.

It's going down to -7 tonight and -4 to -6 over the next few nights with snow forecast until Tues. Although it was supposed to have snowed last night but it hasn't.

Mushybanna:

WOW!!! That's COLD!!! How are your plants holding up? Have they been cold damaged?

I really hope the weather warms up soon for you!

8 Jan, 2010

Hopefully not but you never can tell. When spring comes will tell but they are wrapped up well ..fingers crossed

Mushybanna:

I'll cross my fingers that all the plants will be well in spring also!

Thanks Andy
I find quite funny were having a conversation about the freezing cold under a picture that is so warm and tropical :o))))

Mushybanna:

It's quite ironic isn't it! Although, I must admit, it's very difficult for me to comprehend freezing temps...when yesterday it was 80 degrees F./ 27 degrees C., and it's going to be about the same temp. today. : > )

I'm afraid you'll get no sympathy from this side of the pond my friend.. :o))))
hehehehe

Great picture Andy.

Mushybanna:

Well, one thing you don't have to be concerned about is having a house which is like an oven...like my house. It was almost 90 degrees F / 30 degrees C. inside my house today...I don't like when it's this hot. I won't turn on the A/C however, had the fans on. I know, it sounds crazy for this time of year...it's not the first time this has happened here though.

Rbtkew:

Thanks!

I don't blame you its very expensive to run A/c in a house especially as its a time of year you wouldn't normally ...
Home a/c is it like a cars where you have to top up a bottle every so often ??

11 Jan, 2010

Mushybanna:

It is expensive to run the A/C...however, at least here in San Diego we don't have to use the furnace very often...which saves money. There's a draw back there also...when you turn on the furnace a lot of dust comes of the vents. lol

My A/C isn't like a car's A/C. : > )

11 Jan, 2010

Its just occurred to me its to hot and you need some rain where you are ,here its to cold and snowy : solution ........ we'll box you up some snow and post it off to you ....Sorted ... :o)))

12 Jan, 2010

Mushybanna:

It suppose to cool down quite a bit tomorrow...only around 70 degrees F. / 21 degrees C. -- then warm up again on Thursday. : >)

Yes, we're in desperate need of rain and water! You can send us some of your melted snow...we would appreciate it here! LOL!
