Peak bloom of Aloe tongaensis. (Aloe tongaensis)

From yellow as they form to fiery orange at peak. I now wish I had a couple of more plants.

Is this a tree type Aloe?

Yes it is. Its sort of intermediate in size between the those "Tree Aloe's" that actually never branch and the Giant tree Aloe, A. barberae . This can get huge- but in a great number of years. Mostly,I would say it tops out at 15'? A. barberea can reach triple that height in best climates.
