Yes, it loves the rain! Most Aloe species are at peak bloom here, right now.
Do you have Aloe bainesii? If so, does it bloom every year for you? They don’t bloom every year here for some reason. This year they’re in full glory flowering with their salmon-colored flowers.

I do...but so far it hasn't flowered at a triple trunked 12' height. It was a 6" cutting stuck in the ground many years ago.

I always wondered why A. bainesii doesn’t flower every year, like all other Aloe species do. I always think of Aloe species as being the easiest plant to grow and flower in California. Very strange!

I also have Aloidendron tongaensis. It blooms every year around November.
