Aren't they wonderful, Andy? I love the fact that I get to see these amazing blooms pretty much all year round.

Yes, I love my Anthuriums!
Yes, most Anthurium species bloom all year. For some reason they seem to love fall and winter (which is so strange to me). I've always read they need super hot, humid weather to bloom well. Apparently, not here in San Diego.

We'll take them any way we can! I still only have this one, but I'm planning on adding more next year. So many other things were going on this year and last, that building the Anthurium collection has slipped way down the list of to-dos!

Anthuriums are most likely very cheap and available any time of the year there, just like here in San Diego.

Not all that cheap, Andy. That's one of the reasons why I haven't been in a hurry to add more out in the shadehouse. They are available pretty much all year round in the nurseries here, you're right about that.

Wow! That's strange! I would have thought they were very inexpensive there. Can you get some from neighbors or friends, for free?
I get a lot of my plants from neighbor's, friends and family for free. I trade plants also.

Unfortunately there are not too many green thumbs amongst my friends and family. I just visit the nurseries a lot looking for bargains!

That's too bad not too many green thumb family and friends!
I just think anywhere in the tropics you can pull off along the side of the road and get plants. lol! In Hawai'i people do this, especially near the rain forest areas.

Yes that's definitely something that can happen in the wet tropics area further north. I've been tempted sometimes when I visit up there.

I would be very tempted, also. lol! :>)
