Aquilegia atrovinosa - 2019

Species aquilegia growing 12 to 18 inches tall in sun or part shade. It was difficult to get a good picture of this one as the flower is so dark and the stems won't say still in the breeze

My aquilegia’s have been eaten by something this year. The stems and flowers have been nibbled away and in other places the foliage has shrivelled and not produced any flowers. Not sure what is going on as they have always been so reliable, popping up everywhere!
