Today I took some time to trip to the city up in the hills and take some pictures of our "Winter flowers". This is one of the most common trees native to this part of the country... an Araucaria.

Hi there Bonkers,
I've been pretty busy later with the final arrangements to the new college program I'm working on...thats why I couldnt come as often as I wish.
the flowers all around were flashing me... to take pictures and post them...
finnaly today I could stop and take the time to go around and take the pictures.
I hope everything is well for you and your family.... as well as to everyone from GOY!

This is a real nice shape to the tree. I missed your winter, so I'm catching up and looks like spring is sprung there! Just in time for my snow......lol :-)

I'm not sure I believe it. :-)
I did get a relieved sort of comfort feeling when I awoke to everything blanketed in white. I'm postponing the photos so I dont chill anyone. :-)

awwwwwwwwwwwwww... isnt, just beautiful!!!
something people can't understand at all when I talk about is the special silence you can hear (if you can hear the silence... :o) LOL!) when the snow is falling... oh well
I miss it... thats all.
Maybe just because is linked to my time in USA.

There is a special silence. That is something I love here. Something here that is only here is when the silence starts echoing during a really deep freeze below -30 or so. You might hear the sound of a truck miles and miles away as though it were next to you or the neigh of a faraway horse. ALmost like hearing through earplugs the silence is deafening. :-)

I know that silence when the snow falls. So quiet. Everything noisy just sort of fades away. So quiet you can hear the snowflakes landing. So quiet that it almost hurts your ears. :o)
