Its gotten a lot of fertilizer over the years Andy. I was told its taken so long to bloom because they have to be in full all day sun. Mine has just cleared my house- now its in full sun..with a funny looking spath.

I guess it does want a lot of sun, when full grown. I know the king palms (in full sun) at the Palmetum in Oakland have been flowering and fruiting for many years. Those seedlings were really tough. I got some seedlings many years ago. My friend Garrin from the Palms Society used to be in charge of taking care of the Palmetum.
