I have cerasteum tomentosum, and phlox subulata...I also use wild strawberry as a ground cover...our North American robins love the fruit, which are very tiny but very flavourful! I love the blossom and colour of this flower, I think I might try it... but like most plants in English gardens I have to check that they will be perennial in my Canadian garden. I often wish I had more time to be experimental, because for the most part I have planted native plants, which are evolved for the climate, hardy and strong...and (some might say) invasive.
