Bougainvillea 'Vera' a dwarf thornless hybrid. (Bougainvillea spectabilis X ?)

Its great for containers,purple- usually the hardiest- and no thorns.
I can see this as a Bonsai..or low shrubs. Better for me as space is limited.

That looks good!

You should see all the Bougainvillea here. They have been in full flower since February. They are so full of bracts you can't see leaves.

This must have been just delivered from a greenhouse to HomeDepot. So,the rains and cool were kind of a shock.

This I might root cuttings from asap. I would like to see this in ground here and there. Dwarf and thornless. Perfect!

I like rooting cutting. They can be very easy in spring.

I'm posting a Bougainvillea from the freeway. There's so many blooming along the freeways here.

Well,Bouganvillea's not rare..but thornless and dwarf is hard to find.
NO huge sharp thorns,no rampant growth. Civilized-lol.

I don't need the biggest anything on my small yards...manageable is what I go for now. I prune A LOT.

Speaking of landscapes..I was just thinking today ,I want to get some photos of deep green hills and palms and other subtropicals. Its like Emeralds to green velvet around here.
plus- swaths of wildflowers. Beautiful. Now that we have a break in the rains and lots of sun....

You're so lucky you have green. Here it's been super dry and warm. Only on the north-facing hills and mesas you see some green...other than that it's brown. It's not quite as dry as last year, though.

There's lots of wild flowers this year compared to last year.
