This is the best colour for me Michealla. As I say though, it seems to be getting ideas of world domination!

Yes, they do...and I love the color of the flower buds also.

Now in my ideal garden I'd have classis British garden perennials such as this for bedding, set against a backdrop of my exotic shrubs (Erythrina, Tibouchina, Abutilon), plus some of yours (Plumeria springs to mind), and then the crowning glory would be Strongylodon Macrobotrys growing along the fence (and anywhere else it wanted too really)!!!

Sounds like a wonderful garden! I'm sure you could do it...Erythrina (some species) , Tobouchina (some species) and Abutilon (most species) are pretty tough, hardy plants (they can stay outside there most of year, correct?) Strongylodon macrobotrys - Jade Vine would be much more difficult as it is native to very hot tropical rain forest. It's not seen much growing outside here either (I've read it grows pretty well in Southern Cal. though).

Oh Meanie...this lovely campanula is no thug...it just needs "tough love". Mine have all been cut back to about 6" and they are blooming from the base again!

I've become a very staunch campanula fan, Meanie... I have a var. called "Cherry Bells"...its Korean in origin..or perhaps Japanese...bot name: Campanula takiesemana, "Cherry Bells"... and of course no campanula collection should be without the cup and saucer Canterbury Bells!! Of all the plants I will be leaving behind the campanulas will not be left...they're going to figure prominently in my next garden border!

They call it "spotted" but on the pic I couldn't see any spots...?...It looks very much like Cherry Bells... I can see why it's your fav.
