Beautiful and unusual colour....

I love this sort of campanula, I think they look like fairy hats. Unfortunately they don't seem long lived in my garden although I know one has survived this year, but not in flower yet:-)

I don't think I'll ever grow one like this again after my last one took over my whole garden in the last place! I spent days removing those white roots!

Which one was it Karen?:-)

Wedding bells, and cherry bells. Both as bad as one another.

Pretty though eh? I have a problem with a very lovely alstroemeria which is growing in the wrong place and popping up everywhere, impossible to dig out. I did put some in pots and poisoned what was left although I don't like to use chemicals ..... needn't have worried ... back it came!:-))

Alstro can be a thug, you're right!

I have the C.takiesemana, Cherry Bells. It doesn't like the new garden as well as it did the town one...but it's getting along ok. It does spread and likes to choose it's own place. I planted mine at the top of a grade and it preferred to be at the bottom...so it's gradually working it's way to it's perfect spot in the valley! If it's a bother and trying to stage a coup~ a good till with a roto-tiller will break up the root system so it can be raked from the soil.
I guess the reason I tolerate it, is that space is not limited. I can let it go.

apart from the perscifolia type I cant seem to keep these from one year to the next. bit too expensive as annuals.
