Golden Bluebeard

Golden Bluebeard (Caryopteris incana 'Jason')

This shrub has leafed out nicely but not grown much in size yet; the colour is nice though.

Have you had this plant long? We want to buy one, but wonder if it really ends up looking as great as in the pictures. Any tips on caring for it?

Hi Rosalieg ! This was one of my early spring purchases, so it is wait & see for me too. It is only about 18" round and has leafed up nicely but does not seem to be growing any larger yet . I do like the colour of the leaves; they add a bright spot in the garden.

Our local Canadian Tire has quite a few of them for $14.99. They're a little leggy, but appear healthy. Sheridan Nursery sells them for $25 or more, but won't have them for a few more weeks.. I'd prefer it to be in the ground then bloom. I think I'll pick one up this evening! Thanks :)
