What a coincidence!
A kindly GoT'er has just posted seeds to me for this!

Meanie:

It's an easy grow and hardy. This shrub has naturalized in many areas of San Diego County and other areas of California.

My post should have said GoY'er!

I think that I have just the spot for it at the new place Delonix..........

Meanie:

I knew that. :>)

Are you going to grow it as an annual? I don't think Cassia (Senna) bicapsularis is hardy. I know it hates wet soil in winter! (like many of the other species).

I'll grow it in pots and give it winter protection for the first two years. I'll take cuttings and from year three they'll have to take their chances with the cuttings getting protection instead.

Meanie:

Cuttings are extremely difficult to strike from Cassia species. I've tried hundreds of times without any success. Seeds are probably your best bet.

Bang goes that plan then!

However, they're very easy from seed. :>)
