I don't think it's too young. I don't remember, though. It takes a 3 years or so for this tree to bloom. It's a fast grower if it's fertilized and watered pretty well.

There's three of her babies still alive, though. I think this is the tree that died. I not sure, though. lol!

I think the three on the curb strip get more water than the one that was close to the house. The one close to the house had most of its roots under the house and it probably stayed bone-dry. This tree is drought tolerant; however, it has its limits. It's native to the very hot tropical monsoonal climates of India, Southeast Asia, Sri Lanka, and Myanmar.

I am surprised it did nt up root the foundations of tge house. Yes they say to mimic the conditions of where a plants natural habitat derives from.

The root-system isn't huge like some other trees like Ficus species (Rubber or Banyan trees), which will lift your house.

Ahrr explains that then a safe tree to have near tge house tgen.

Most legumes are pretty safe by the house...there's some exceptions, though. For example: Delonix regia, Schizolobium parahyba have a lot of big surface roots.

Not one to plant by a house then but its good to know the others are safe.
