Andrew is this an evergreen variety?

DD - it's semi-evergeen; it loses its leaves in a hard winter. It is useful because not only does it flower twice each year but can also be pruned (to within one bud of the old wood)

Will make a note of that , ours is evergreen and it looks as if it has had it's day, did not realize they were short lived, especially evergreen varieties.
