This continues to bloom in an unheated porch.

Unfortunately no. I think I've seen it growing outside in some places.
I'm sure it would grow well outdoors under trees here. I'm not sure if it could be grown in our full sun. It most likely would even burn in the winter heat we've been having (yesterday it was 32ºC or 90ºF here). This heat here has been crazy for January!!!
