Chamaedorea microspadix - Bamboo Palm in Lemon Grove, CA. (San Diego County)

Chamaedorea microspadix - Bamboo Palm in Lemon Grove, CA. (San Diego County) (Chamaedorea microspadix - Bamboo Palm)

This hardy, sun-tolerant palm grows well in most of California. It grows quickly and produces orange to scarlet-colored seeds which are very spectacular. Its leaves are widely used in floral arrangements due to its stiff but silky texture. Photo taken June 26, 2010.
