That's unusual, and very pretty!

It really is - you just 'have' to look inside the flower! Isn't nature wonderful. :-)))

Nature is indeed wonderful Spritz....

Now that is special...

Even more so, when this is the third attempt at keeping a Codonopsis safe from marauding snails. I have a copper ring round it, and hey presto - it's still here! :-))

Good to know some things work !!

It worked on a 'last chance' Alstro, too. I've never succeeded in keeping one before!

How absolutely stunning!

They look pretty hanging down like bells, but it's the inside that's so special. :-)

Love flowers like this where you need to stop and take a proper look. Is it hardy?

Yes! I lost one a couple of years ago, but that was munched by snails. :-(

Thanks! Got a few (C.clematida) coming along from seed.

Don't forget the copper rings....

"Don't forget the copper rings...."

Copper rings, coffee grounds and sand - that should cover it!

You could be right...except when you get snails that parachute in. Last year they ate my lupins from the top down! Grrrr.....

I have the ones that can swim! I put a rare Tricyrtis on a gravel island in the middle of a tray and they still munched it!

Why doesn't that surprise me?
