Thanks! :>))
I finally figured out how to prevent the snails from eating the leaves. Crushed eggshells. lol!

Lots of bait too. I think Earwigs will eat them too.

Earwigs are not as bad as slugs and snails. Haven't seen many slugs and snails so far this season. It's been too dry and hot for them.

I love it .

I haven't seen any snails so far. It's been way too hot and dry for them. I've been putting out a lot of crushed eggshells. This may help. We have not had any rain so far this season. After, the first rains maybe some snails will come out. Then, I'll see how effective the eggshells will be.

Yes thats a good idea wait and see after when it rains I find pea gravel more effective than egg shells.

Unfortunately, pea gravel would not be good here. I have to apply mulch to save my plants from drying out so badly. We haven't had any rain so far this season in San Diego. My plants are really starting to suffer.

Thats a shame Andy I hope you dont loose any.

Well, I am still using all my reclaimed gray water from in the house. It helps. The plants really want some rain, though.

I am suprised you have nt had rain with the fires you had out there I heard on the news here the fires were very close to San Diego. Glad your grey wster is saving your plants.
19 Dec, 2017
No rain, yet! :>(( The big fire in San Bonsall (Fallbrook) is in northern San Diego County, it's a 45 minute drive north. It was very, very horrible! Luckily, it's 100 percent contained now.
It appears we may not receive any rain in San Diego through Christmas and beyond. This is really bad news. Most of California has been bone-dry! Northern California is forecasted to receive some rain tonight, though.

I am glad the fires are contained no and was nt near you.
How horrid not having any rain beyond Christmas. I hope you have a lot of rain for tonight though hope it fills your water butts .

Watching all the documentary s of weather its nothing unusual through out the world with the changing climate . At present Scotland is rising and England is sinking .
23 Dec, 2017
Penny,
It's very true. So many changes in a relatively short period of time.
25 Dec, 2017
Yes according to the documentary s going back on historic westher records its been worse where cities have ended up under the sea not just a few but lots.
25 Dec, 2017
Yes, most big cities in the world are close to oceans.
28 Dec, 2017
