Four stems now one. (Cordyline banksii)

One stem was killed by somebody who yanked on it a few years ago. Two were killed by me when I put too much fertilizer on it. Its now one large stem, and a few sprouts at the base.
Its a variety of Cordyline banksii.

I like the Euphorbia :)

You know- I get lots of compliments on that plant. More then any other lately. I bought that as a cutting from the Ruth Bancroft garden about 10 years ago, maybe 12 at the most.
As it gets size it does get more formal looking. I find that I try to prune other plants back- like the Ficus- instead of letting the Euphorbia struggle in possible too much shade.
Now,with the Cordy much reduced the "Canary Island Hercule's club" can go on.

This when younger looked so much like a Phormium. They never get too large- but do get to be a sizable clump of stems.
