They're a stripey Italian type (Striato d'Italia) with silvery marks along the leaf ribs. Nice dense flesh from the smaller ones I've eaten so far. I must try the flowers once I've got half a dozen at the same time

& at my age (55) deep fried things in batter are probably not the best idea Amy 😄 I need to offset something so I can have an extra beer!

Lol I'm much older than you Darren you need to try everything once they ( Jamie Oliver ) says they are quite nice dipped in Batter before frying .. you can still have your beer :o)
