They're looking really fresh and clean with all the rains.
It's definitely not a cold-hardy fern. It would need to be protected there for sure. I saw many very large, old Australian tree ferns die in the San Francisco Bay Area (especially inland areas) during the worst freeze ever recorded, in Dec. 1990.

I do so love these tree ferns, I will not be happy until I get one........the trouble is I need to create a micro-climate!!
