Delonix decaryi - Bottle Tree

Delonix decaryi - Bottle Tree (Delonix decaryi - Bottle Tree)

This is called "the million dollar tree" at the San Diego Zoo. It's pretty rare in cultivation....although, I have been reading it's becoming a little more available. It's native to Madagascar just like Delonix regia - Royal Poinciana. Photo taken Sept. 9, 2010.
