I purchased this Rock Orchid last week for $7.00. It has a dozen flower spikes, which should be blooming soon. Photo taken Feb. 2, 2012.

NO, I have a Dendrobium "Polar Bear". Still....I'll post a picture of mine just so you can have a laugh.

What I've seen on the internet as D. 'Polar Bear' is called something else here. It appears to be a very common orchid here (from what I've seen).

One of my baby D.kingianiums is about to bloom - two years from keiki to loads of stems!

Interesting to see it growing in your high temperatures, we grow it in cool conditions at Kew

It's not growing in this spot. It's growing in a cooler, shady spot. Even though this winter has been unusually warm to hot, most of the evenings are cool.
