This one stands at around 3 metres tall out in the driveway garden bed. There are another six in the greenhouse and one of those has started to flower as well. There will be a fantastic fragrance from these plants very soon.

Never seen one that tall Delonix - that's amazing. I just love the fragrance from these. The ones in the greenhouse are still quite young and I have to keep them trimmed as they reach the shadecloth top quite quickly.

Bernieh:
I can imagine they would grow very quickly in your tropical climate.
I may have to get a photo of this large Dracaena from around the corner from my house...I see it almost everyday.

The flowers have opened on the dracaena in the greenhouse tonight and the perfume is filling the house - just fantastic. The one in the photo above is in our driveway and has also opened but we only get a quick whiff when we drive past unfortunately.

I didn't realize the flowers were fragrant. I have one in the front yard in a corner and when it blooms I don't pay much attention to it...it's very neglected.

Oh yes Delonix they have a lovely fragrance - you'll have to take a whiff when you go past yours.

It'll be several months before it blooms...however, I'll definitely have to do that.
Thanks for the information! I'm always amazed how much I learn from people's experiences on this website.

These plants are very interesting when they bloom. I see they blooom
the same time of the year (fall-winter) as here...and grow as large. Although, around the corner from me is a Dracaena fragrans 'Massangeana' that's almost
20 feet / 6.1 meters tall.
