Elaeagnus pungens 'Fruitlandii' - Fruitland Silverberry

WOW, that must smell fantastic!!! It might be my new favorite shrub too. ;o)))

It was absolutely intoxicating! I don't remember ever seeing this shrub growing here before. It is supposedly really hardy too. So many of my GoY friends in the UK should be able to grow this plant very well. Most of the plants I post won't grow in the UK or other colder countries outside.

I'm looking into this one as well!!! I LOOOOVE intoxicating smells!!!

This shrub is grow in Hampshire and is very popular because of the delightful perfume, makes a good hedge.

Probably one of the few shrubs that will grow in both the UK and southern Arizona!

I've read it's very hardy to cold and heat. I've haven't seen this plant growing around before...however, this plant was incredible with its very fragrant flowers.

Yes, I've read it's one tough shrub! It's pretty amazing it will take cold down to 0F/-18C and heat to 110F/43C with no problems.

The hybrid of this: E. x ebbingei, also has beautifully scented flowers, but they are usually hidden down the stems. Displayed like this, they are fantastic. It stands the cold very well, also and makes a good windbreak by the sea.
