My first pink Epiphyllum bloom of the year. My Epis are very neglected, however, they bloom pretty well every year. Photo taken Apr. 13, 2010.

A gorgeous pink! My epiphyllum orchid cactus like this has never bloomed and is almost 6 years old. Just not sure what to do. I change things for it every year or two, trying to find that right spot. Still growing at least.

Thanks!
The only thing I can suggest is neglect them...that works for me. : > )

Grow them in a well drained media, and let them dry out between watering.

This plant has no roots at all...I forgot I cut all the roots off several months ago and it's just sitting in a pot. It obviously had enough nourishment in the stem for it to bloom.
