Cactus in tree still blooming.. (Epiphyllum)

I thought all Epi's bloomed once a year? This has broken the mold blooming in flushes since June.
Is it because its tree grown? I water regularly, but this plant was in bad shape when I stuck it in the tree..with no media. Its just wedged there.
I want to pack moss around it. I keep forgetting!
If I had known it was this nice,I never would have put it up there.
It was a badly eaten plant that hadn't bloomed for me for years in shade in my backyard. I thought it was expendable at worse..but its great looking. Now to make sure tall neighbors don't borrow it..

It helped to have old clumps of Broms too..not a long wait for it to all look like something.
Funny in a way...this is as generic a tree as they come. Now its like Mardi Gras with the color.
