Isn't it just .... i can't stop looking at this photo !!!
The Sorbaria's gone to plant heaven, those flimsy shrubs (Pittosporum hedge 'Wendel Channon) have started to form a proper hedge and that whole area's now a wide border - full of herbaceous lovelies .... no grass there at all !!!
The euphorbia itself has more than doubled in size !

Is that the Pittosporum which you trim ?
Do you trim it all over, and how often ?
By the way, I answered your Pittosporum Question from early May, but no other answers..:o(((

Yes .... and i actually trim all mine.
I have that hedge of them, plus 6 more dotted around, one small one (Tom Thumb) and 5 other - some bronze, some green variegated.
I 'snip' at them all constantly all year round to keep them in shape - i like them to be conical so that plenty of light gets to the lower stems .... they don't need major cuts with shears.
The question about the stems being eaten ?
I 'think' i've at least halted the damage but i still find those mini snails tucked into the newly emerging leaves ... considering those leaves are so tiny it gives you an idea of how tiny the snails are.
I sprayed with an insecticide, put down pellets and .... smeared vaseline on the barer stems !
I've heard Amblealice use this method on her dahlias so tried it here .... so i'm not sure which has halted it but i believe something has !

Interesting to read what treatment you give your Pittosporums.
The question was 3rd May... you mention caterpillars and I answer about watering... click on your out box and you'll see your questions listed.
I'll be back on GoY later ! :o)

Don't talk to me about caterpillars :-/
It's caterpillar city here Tt :-(((
There's clearly an infestation, probably because i've let nature do its thing and not used sprays here, because all shrubs and perennials are affected here, front and back gardens.
I started spraying in ernest about a month ago and it's helping a lot - not totally beecause they're still here but i'm hoping :-/
