If I am correct this has a wonderful perfume.

This was the first time it flowered for me & I've had it for about 3 yrs in a pot as it prefers acid soil. It did have a perfume but very delicate one. There is another I would like
Exochorda serratifolia 'Snow White' small tree.
Why is it my favourites are always the ericaceous ones?

hmmm... I have the acid soil but not sure if it would survive our minus 30 C. winters? I love scented plants and shrubs.

According to hardiness in the UK it says The Bride (E. macrantha) is hardy to -C10-15. It would be best to check out what varieties you have available in your area tho.
