no i'm the stupid one i was thinking of fatshedra which is the hybrid of this with hedra. doh. perhaps i can blame pressure of work :o)

Thanks. So Fatsia japonica grows happily in Australia! That's interesting. Your plants and mine are usually very different, aren't they.

Oh, no, M. It's outside in the garden, growing happily! I've also got a variegated leaved one, which needs a little shelter (against a wall), but they are considered to be hardy here.
I think I might have trouble trying to grow the HUGE plant indoors! We'd have to move out to make space for it! LOL.
