Nebari (roots) (Ficus nitida)

The Japanese would call it nebari. Showing its banyon tree tropical roots in warm temperate climate. If we had humid air-- those would be growing over the pot like a melted candle.

I noticed today--- 20 years of growing this little Ficus- I saw little figs. Still green. Just adds to the miniature tree look.
I never gave it a thought all those years. Huh.
