Ficus microcarpa touched by frost!. (Ficus microcarpa (Chinese Banyan))

This is the first I've seen of F.microcarpa in the bay area. Its right here in Hayward. If you've seen those big Ficus along the Streets of San Francisco, that's the similar Ficus nitida. That one has always upright foliage, this Hayward Ficus weeps slightly.

Wow! That's pretty incredible. It takes quite a bit of freezing temps to get those tips nipped.

Depending on the weather site, our coldest morn was 31f or 33f. Cold enough to nip soft new foliage at the tips.
Maridol's held up but for some damage to the small undeveloped leafs. Again, new growth.
Its early Andy. Things I think did well..could croak, things that look like all heck, could make a fast recovery. Always like that.
