Unknown Ficus

This Ficus species has so many aerial roots wrapped around the trunk. If anyone knows the name of this Ficus please let me know. Photo taken at Morley Field, Balboa Park, San Diego, CA. on Feb. 12, 2016.

It's definitely not F. rubiginosa. There's several different varieties F. rubiginosa in this area.
There's hundreds of species of Ficus that grow in San Diego (especially in Balboa Park)...some I've never seen anywhere else...not even in Hawaii.

I couldnt find the article. Does a Ficus with a last name that has a "x" hit anything?
I've read that article twice over the years..palmtalk I think it was.

I think this species of Ficus may be widely grown in Florida. I can't remember the name. There's too many Ficus species and varieties to keep informed.

I guess you would know if its a F. rubiginosa. There is a ficus I read about that has a heavy banyon roots in even dry soucal. I have to hit the google again.
