2-year old plant I grew from a division. I have two of these and both have filled out quickly, much faster than my 'Mt. Airy'. This is like Mt. Airy's prettier sister and is one of my favorite shrubs.

It doesn't get huge but it should be around 6 feet tall. It suckers from the base and some of the shoots revert back to green but that doesn't happen too often. I don't prune it much at all, the only time I cut anything is when it gets the reversion shoots.

What else?
See who else is growing Fothergilla major (Fothergilla).
See who else has plants in genus Fothergilla.

I love the bluish leaves and overall shape. Is this a large growing shrub? Do you prune often?
