They have melancholic faces, Scotsgran.
They're pining for the sun, I guess.

They are trembling in fear of the bulb eaters around at the moment.

So I've heard.
They'll starve to death in my patch, as nothing is showing of the lillies, orchids, irises or anything else I've planted for that matter. Lol.

If you only jjust planted the bulbs they will be up soon. I noticed the first spikes of Dutch Iris showing yesterday but they will not flower until June. Some of the lilies awe though too. You say orchids. Is that Acidanthera. I was very disappointed with mine last year. I only had lots of foliage and no flowers.

Planted them about two month ago, so you'll be right on that score.
The orchids are Gladiolus callianthus...'Peacock'.
Are you familar with them?

29 Apr, 2013

Yes Mouldy that is the same plant as Acidanthera.

Gotcha.
Well, time has past, but no sign of the orchids, or many others, unfortunately.
My irises are doing well, though. Lol.
Forgot to ask you, while we're talking bulbs, when is Dunblane?

22 May, 2013

Next meeting in Dunblane is 17th August.
