Geum Blazing Sunset !!!!

I brought this stem of flowers in 2 days ago after the rain and wind bent it over onto the grass. All the flowers were red. I was surprised to find it was a 2 colour Geum today. The ones in the garden are still just red!!!!

strange, I would imagine orange going red as they got older but not the other way around.
